"Being able to be part of this YCF programme is firstly definitely very wholesome — got to meet and know new friends and fellow contemporaries who were also passionate in their craft and in music in general. Secondly, it is also really fulfilling as it quenches my thirst of learning. Writing contemporary music is definitely really fresh and new to me. While I stepped foot into this entirely new and constantly evolving realm of contemporary music, I was fed with experimentation and curiosity. Yet, more guidance through reading sessions as well as the introductory sessions, and consultations with the mentors provided me with newer perceptions and inspirations while writing. My newer explorations in composition in general were guided with the understanding of how to think while writing. During the final rehearsal, when everything comes to life, it was really nice listening to what I can learn from other pieces being presented. Learning and being inspired from each other is definitely part of this process.
I
Lastly, will like to extend my appreciation to Weirdaftertaste — Lynette, Christoven and Jun sian for performing my work and Bertram for settling my electronics part!"

YCF 2023 culminated in a final concert at the Singapore Composers Festival 2024, which took place on 23 March 2024.
