Jazreel Low

Jazreel is an award-winning composer with a keen interest in blending chamber and orchestral-hybrid music styles. She studied BA Music Composition and Arranging under the tutelage of Belinda Foo at Lasalle College of the Arts and was mentored by composer Derrick Skye.


Her score for the film Pulau "demonstrated artistic prowess, creating a cohesive work that enhanced the film", and won the award for Best Original Music at the 2023 National Youth Film Awards (Singapore). Since then, she has scored music for a myriad of films, including documentaries, narratives, and animations. Jazreel's music has also been performed by ensembles such as Salastina (Los Angeles, USA) and The Straits Ensemble (Singapore).

Her writing reflects a strong visual narrative whilst incorporating contemporary music conventions. Her experience in composing music for concert and media, coupled with her diverse influences, have allowed her to develop a unique style for her music.
