“Traditional” and Western aesthetics in “Chinese music”

On Feb 2020, two articles published in the Singaporean newspaper «Lianhe Zaobao» sparked interest and discussion in the Chinese music community. Wang Chenwei provides his opinion in his essay, which CSS now publishes here.
